The Friends event last night in the carriage house, 'Railroads of the Upper Brandywine' presentation by author Jim Sundman was very well attended.

Railroads of the Upper Brandywine program, Monday, April 2, 6:30 to 7:30 PM

Remnants of long extinct railways can still be found in Northern Chester County, in fact some of our most popular recreational trails used to be railways, like the Struble Trail and Chester Valley Trail. Have you ever wondered when they were built and who used the trains? Join the Friends of Springton Manor Farm when we invite Jim Sundman, author of "Pennsylvania Main Line Rail Stations: Philadelphia" as he traces the rise and decline of our local railways. The history of these train lines provide a glimpse into the industrial and commercial development of northern Chester County.

Build a Bluebird Box at Springton, Sunday, February 11, 2 to 3:30 PM
