Fangtastic Life of Bats, November 9th, 2024

Join the Friends and Echo Dell Conservancy as they welcome biologist Levi Johnson of the Pennsylvania Game Commission, who will cover everything one could want to know about bats, including general biology, white-nose syndrome, bat boxes, and current research.  This program is suitable for all ages; however, some content may be too technical for young children.

Wildlife Encounter, September 14th, 2024

Please join the Friends and Echo Dell Conservancy to welcome environmental educator Dawn White of Indian Run Environmental Education Center LLC and her animal ambassadors for a fun and educational Wildlife Encounters program at Springton Manor Farm.

Meet live birds of prey and reptiles to discover features and behaviors for survival and learn their roles in our local ecosystems. Examine feathers, shells and more, and find out how we can better accommodate wildlife in our yards and neighborhoods.

Native Tree Walk, June 8th, 2024

Join the Friends of Springton Manor, Echo Dell Conservancy, and Kayla Kehres, service forester wit the William Penn Forest District, DCNR Bureau of Forestry as she presents on Pennsylvania forests.  She will host a presentation, as well as doing a guided hike around Springton Manor Farm, identifying trees, shrubs, and anything interesting along the way.  The presentation will be for all ages, as well as, the hike, and will be as interactive as possible.  Please be aware there will be walking on potentially uneven terrain, so durable shoes, a hat and raincoat, and water bottle

Predators of Pennsylvania, March 16th, 2024

Echo Dell Nature Conservancy + Friend's of Springton Manor Farm present Haley Phillips, Environmental Educations Specialist with the Pennsylvania Game Commission presenting on "Predators of Pennsylvania"! Join the Pennsylvania Game Commission as they discuss the many animals that are considered predatory species. Pennsylvania is home to many carnivores and omnivores including birds of prey and mammals.
